Showcase Sunday #30

Showcase Sunday is a weekly meme hosted by Vicky at Books, Biscuits and Tea. The aim is to showcase our newest books or book related swag and to see what everyone else received for review, borrowed from libraries, bought in bookshops and downloaded onto eReaders this week.

Hello lovelies, I hope you all had a wonderful week, the sun has been shining these last few days, I totally planned to read outside, but kept getting distracted by Wimbledon, how surprising were some of the matches? Around Wimbledon I've tried to get some reading done and for once I'm actually on top of my review pile! *fist pump*, I hope this lasts, but I've been good this week too as from my incoming books only one was a review book! So without further ado here's the pretties I received in the last two weeks.

How to Love by Katie Cotugno | A Tale of Two Centuries by Rachel Harris

Thank you  Blazer + Bray and Entangled Teen.

The Sookie Stackhouse was a series which when I first started I loved, however from around book 10 onwards this series has slowly gone downhill. However despite this I am determined (sort of) to finish this series off, I'm one of those individuals where I can't abandon a series, I need to know how things will end! And I was so happy to discover that my library had ordered Lanagan's The Bride's of Rollrock Island, they had every single book except for this, so when I saw a copy appear on their catalogue I was quick to request a copy!

Over to Rachel and her book haul!

Parasite by Mira Grant | Life in Outer Space by Melissa Keil

Thank you to Scholastic Press, Amulet Books, Little Brown Books for Young Readers, Sourcebooks Fire, Orbit, Peachtree Publishing, and Netgalley.

I’m overwhelmed by my books! I only wish there was time enough in the day to read all these quickly! Alexa from Collections alerted me to the steal of a deal (free!!) of Nightcreatures series, an amazing Aussie series (or so I hear). I can’t wait to pick up the second book in The Raven Cycle by Maggie Stiefvater! I’ll need to refresh my memory with the first book, because it’s little more complicated that most YA.

If you posted a book haul this week, we'd love to know what you received, so feel free to leave us a link in the comments below!

Jasprit, I absolutely LOVE Brides of Rollrock Island. I am SO EXCITED you're finally reading it, so YAY! :D

Rachel, I'm so excited for The Dream Thieves and Holly Black's latest, not to mention Parasite, so I hope you enjoy all of those. I really liked Life in Outer Space, so you're in for a treat, and I'm curious to compare notes on de Pierres novels since I wasn't a huge fan.

Great haul, ladies! :D

How exciting was Wimbledon yesterday?! It was crazy in our house, and we could even hear people cheering all down the street! I don't blame you for getting distracted, Jasprit. ;)

You both have some really great books! The Brides of Rollrock Island sounds fantastic and has had some wonderful reviews. I need to get around to that eventually. And Rachel! Eeee! You have The Dream Thieves AND The Infinite Moment of Us! I'm SO excited about both and can't wait to see what you think. :)

Happy reading, you two!

Jasprit, the Wimbledon sounds fantastic! You must love the festive atmosphere. <3 I had to be content by watching the matches in my TV. ;)

Amazing hauls this week! <3 I can't wait to read what you think of Dead Ever After. I still can't bring myself to read it! So far the reviews have not been very positive, but I hope it's better for you, Jasprit! I love the cover of The Infinite Moment of Us, so pretty! I hope the story inside is just as good as it promises. <3 I also have Life in Outer Space, so I'm going to wait for Rachel's review. :) Happy reading, lovelies! <3

Great hauls, ladies! I've heard wonderful things about The Brides of Rollrock Island and can't wait to read it myself! Definitely eager to start Holly Black's newest series as well. And oh man I wish I had heard about the Nightcreatures series deal - not that they're that expensive now or anything. I may still buy them, but I'll wait until I can read your review and see what you think of it!

LOL @ the Sookie Stackhouse series thing--I gave up on that a few books ago and I don't know if I'll ever go back. I am seeing Margo Lanagan again on Tuesday and I STILL haven't read anything by her. I am such a failure:)

I am curious to hear how you like Parasite, Rachel. I still have one book to go on the Newsflesh series but I really like Mira Grant's writing overall. And Alexa is so amazing to tell us about the Night Creatures series being free! <3
